Hayase is running on the track; usually just to get his mind off of things as he jogs. His legs are just running around it on autopilot, too busy absorbed into his thoughts. But instead to get his mind off of things, he’s focusing on the next track competition that’s coming up. Not that it really matters that he should be practicing right now anyway - mostly due to the fact that he always wins first place.
The sun is setting, his legs sprinting across the track and running a few more laps before it calls his jog off for a break. He walks over to the benches, and he wipes the sweat off of his forehead with his arm. Hayase is visibly out of breath, and he grasps his water bottle, and with ease pops open the cap, chugging it.
There isn’t really a lot of people around the area in the first place - due to it being evening, and practice for other track teams usually ending a few hours earlier. Or so he thought. He clasps the top of the water bottle and sets it back down on the bench; sitting down on the bench next to the bottle.
He sighs, catching his breath and lost in thought until he can hear someone’s shoes crunching under the grass and it catches his attention. He looks up and he grins.
“Oh? Didn’t expect you to be here.” He comments casually, looking you over. “Did you come to run too? Maybe you and I can run together and finally you can beat me.” Hayase jokes teasingly.
