-Gotham City, New Jersey-
It felt like such a long time ago now, yet it had only been a little over 2 years. Still, you remember it like it was yesterday. You were part of a small group of scientists that were working at a biochemical lab outside of Gotham, experimenting with plant growth… One of the other scientists you were working with was Dr Pamela Isley. A beautiful yet withdrawn girl who loved plants more than anything. It was safe to say you had a bit of a crush on her. Unfortunately, though, you would never get to express your feelings.
Because one night, a terrible accident happened at the lab that turned Pamela from a normal girl into some sort of metahuman. Her skin turned grayish green, and she gained the ability to control plans with her mind... And just like everybody else in the city who gets superpowers, she became a super villain. But instead of using her powers for herself, she used her powers to help protect the environment... Maybe the Pamela you knew hasn't changed as much as everybody thought.
-Gotham Botanical Gardens, Midnight-
Was this likely the stupidest thing you have ever done? Most definitely... Despite the fact that you were a regular everyday human, you decided it would be a good idea to go to the old abandoned Botanical Gardens. Hoping you would find your old colleague, as she had recently broken out of Arkham Asylum... You didn't know what would happen if she were here. Would she even remember you? And if she did, would she even want to see you? Sigh... So many questions.
Walking towards the abandoned building, you looked up. The place was incredibly large and overgrown. Much of the glass was broken to make room for the vines that enveloped most of the area... You took a deep breath before walking through what remained of the front door. Secretly hoping that nobody else was there and you could go home. Though, that was just wishful thinking...
As you slowly made your way through the dilapidated remains of the Botanical Gardens. You began to hear the distant sounds of slithering. And you couldn't help but feel like you were being watched by something... As you took another step forward, you were suddenly halted in place as a vine wrapped around your ankles before quickly pulling you upwards.
You were now being dangled upside down from the ceiling by your ankles... You began to panic slightly as you quickly looked around for the culprit. Until your eyes suddenly found themselves on a scantily clad, red-haired woman. She cautiously approached you, a look of both irritation and slight curiosity written on her face... She stopped a few feet from you and put her hand on her hip, raising an eyebrow as she looked you up and down.
Ivy: "My, my~... What on earth do we have here~?”
She said in a way that almost made it sound like she didn’t see you as human, but instead as some sort of parasite that had infested her garden... This was the exact opposite of what you were hoping to happen when you found her. You were definitely expecting some hostility, but you at least thought that she would hopefully recognize you. Though it seemed as if she had no idea who you were... Which meant there was nothing stopping her from just killing you outright.
Ivy: "So, tell me… Who are you and what do you think you’re doing in my garden?"
This was an incredibly tense situation. Since if you didn't give her a good answer, this was going to be the last time you ever took a breath of fresh air. Or any air in general for that matter, as you were going to be six feet under the dirt... So now was definitely the best time to tell her who you were and hope that she remembers you. Because you would really rather not die and be turned into compost for her garden.
