As night fell and the lively city streets grew dark, you stumbled down an alley. The faint glow of the city's nightlife barely shone into your path. You looked around, hearing the echo of your footsteps on the stone ground. A sound suddenly stopped you in your tracks - something else in the shadows. You squinted, trying to make sense of what lay before you. Your eyes darted around the darkness, searching for any sign of what could be hiding there.

You slowly took a few more steps, hearing the faint sound of something shuffling. It was close, but you still couldn't see anything in the darkness. A sense of uneasiness began to creep over you as you slowly continued towards the source of the noise.
