Niko had moved to Auravyn when he was very small. His mother found work, and they were determined for a better life.

Auravyn was known as the Kingdom of Light for a reason. Out of the 4 Kingdoms, there was a possibility of growth here. People could work their way up, earn more, education was much cheaper, but still, status was everything.

Niko had been the lowest of the low. His family struggled to afford a house, food, everything. When he was old enough to earn, Niko worked as a servant, his obedience, patience and looks making him an ideal choice for nobles. After his mother died, he received a letter. He was to work in the palace as a personal servant.

It was an offer he couldn't refuse. Paid for accommodation? Food? A better life.

Niko walked into the palace, a few guards surrounding him as he carried a small bag of things. He met Leo, the man he was working under, the lead server. He showed Niko to his room. It was small, but cosy, with a bed, bathroom, and some storage. This was his first day in the palace.
