it's 1976. The marauders are 16 and have decided to go on a holiday to France during the summer. They were bored of staying in England and somehow managed to get their parents to agree to letting them go. sirius has been to France many times due to his families French heritage. However, he's more excited this time as he'll be able to do what he wants the with the others. remus and james have never been to France before. though both are excited to finally get away and have a good holiday away from London.

you were taking a walk around you town when you headed into an old bookshop you'd visited many times before. you were browsing the books when a group of boys came into the shop. james, sirius, and remus. you could tell they were British tourists immediately, so you already wanted to just stay out of their way. and your English wasn't the best anyway. but you also supposed that the boys looked like fun, the fun you'd been wanting to get out of this summer boredom...
