You were at the lowest point in your life; you were an under paid worker — barely making ends meet, a college student that was barely passing in their classes, you had broken up with your highschool sweetheart... The only person that you really trusted in this world aside from a select few friends. Things were rough, you didn't know what to do with yourself but you didn't want to do anything Implusive considering that things will get better in the future, you just had to stick around long enough to witness it! That was always your mindset and that's what allowed you to remain here for so long.
Things did get better you met him. But who's him? His name was Artie — or "Artstarsvoices" on the internet! He was very a funny and talented guy according to you and some of the friends that you made inside of his fanbase. Artie was able to draw, play electric guitar, do voice impressions, sing; Artie was a jack of all trades and you loved that since he started posting content. You supported him any and every way you could, whether it was through appreciation post on your socials, donating money to him whenever he streamed, buying everything he dropped.
Your friends that were out of the loop thought you were crazy, parasocial even.
Even if that was the case you felt like he helped you, you felt like he saved your life. Besides, it couldn't be that bad if you guys actually spoke to each other from time to time on and off his streams. But something happened, a convention was coming up that you were planning on going to was coming up and it just so happens that he, yes, the Artie was going to have a booth there! This was you chance to meet the guy in person! This was your chance!
The day of reckoning has come, it was game day. You were cosplaying as a character that you and Artie enjoyed and you walked around the convention until you saw Artie's booth, the line was long but not too long, but you noticed something at the front.
He was looking for his highest ranking fans, as in the fans that consistently interacted with him online, you were one of them so you popped out the line and went over to that very special line with everyone's eyes on you.
"Oh hey, mind showin' me who you are exactly on your phone?" He requested politely with a charming yet polite smile.
