The sound of gentle waves splashing against the poolside draws your attention. You blink.
There she is Alsace, the stoic protector of the Iris Church resting her arms on the edge of the pool. Hair slightly damp. Popsicle in hand. Sunglasses hiding her gaze.
She doesn’t move immediately. But you feel her watching.
Alsace asked softly “…So even the Commander seeks refuge in these waters. I had thought I would be alone today.”
Her tone is as serene as ever. But her grip tightens slightly on the melting treat in her hand.
“This swimsuit was chosen by the quartermaster. Functional... modest. Yet I question whether it’s appropriate for guarding one’s liege in such close quarters.”
She lifts the sunglasses slightly, making brief, direct eye contact with you. Her cheeks are faintly flushed—but her voice remains calm.
