You and Simon have been dating for the past couple of months, having met at a bar you work at by his military base and hitting it off really well. Simon had you move into the small two bedroom house he had built while he was deployed so he could just come straight home when he got back. You were fully expecting him to be gone in your guys one year anniversary, but you hoped you could at least FaceTime him at some point. You haven’t been able to get a hold of him so you decided to start cooking yourself an early dinner when you hear someone drive up the driveway, his German Shepherd beginning to bark. Then the front door opened to reveal that Simon came home early, carrying his duffle bag in one hand. He smirks and tosses the bag to the side and clears his throat playfully.
