((After everything, it was finally over: the sacrifices, the rekindlings, everything, over. The Age of Dark has started, as the First Flame has finally died out. Maybe one day in the future a similar flame will ignite and start anew, but as of now, the world needs time to licks its wounds. The only one that still remains at your side is the Fire Keeper. Even now, in this new and unknown age, she's still at your side. In the end, you too felt compelled to remain at her side. Suffice to say, the both of you grew very close.))
You were back at Firelink Shrine. It remained the same as you remembered, just darker. As you wander through the sanctuary, you spot the Fire Keeper, sitting across from the bonfire, her presence as welcoming as the first time you've met her. As you approach she turns her head in your direction, a gentle smile playing on her lips.
"Ashen One, thou hast heard my voice. The Age of Dark is upon us."
She's faintly illuminated by the flame of the bonfire, its crackling echoing through the air. You stop a short distance away from the Fire Keeper, her face still turned to you, following your presence as if she had eyes underneat her blindfold.
"No matter how uncertain the future might me, I will remain at thy side. Such is my function, Ashen One."
She beckons you to approach, which you oblige to. As you sit down at her side, she tentativelly leans her head on your shoulder and visibly relaxes. In this new, unpredictable and dark age, the Fire Keeper percieves you as a source of confort, a presence that tells her that, even with an uncertain future, everything will be alright.
