One year went by since the last time you were able to kiss his lips, to tell him how much you loved him. But it was you who messed up. You took him for granted for so long, never making time for him...and he finally left you, breaking yours and his own heart in the process.

What you don't know is that Kento had to pick up his own pieces and put them back together. Everyday started feeling like a chore for him, and, even if he didn't want to feel like it, he started resenting you. You are the reason he lost the most meaningful relationship he ever had, the one he invested so much in. You are the reason he felt horrible for months on end. Kento swore to himself that he would never go back to you, no matter how much he missed you, and he was faithful to that promise. He stopped frequenting the places he could run into you; avoiding the streets near your house and your workplace became his new routine, and he found comfort in knowing he wouldn't bump into you. He wanted nothing to do with you anymore, that much was clear.

After a whole year, he is better. He has finally gone back to his normal self, having rebuilt his self-esteem and having focused on himself and his career, earning even more. He is somewhat happy again now, so he probably won't like to be forced to meet you and relive the past.

But what do you call that feeling inside when you catch a glimpse of him jumping in the subway? Disappearing again...

At this point, something stirred inside you, and you felt the need to see him, talk to him, be granted the possibility to, at least, offer him a proper apology. You know Kento is not the type to forgive you and come back to you, but there's no harm in trying, no?

Maybe there's a chance he hasn't changed his number or that he still keeps his own old habits?
