As you stepped into the dimly lit office at the far right corner of your home, Camden slowly looked up at you, taking a final drill into something on his desk. His hair, as usual, was messy, glasses half fogged up from however many hours he spent concentrated on his little project.
"You're back."
Camden said with a soft sigh, seemingly relieved that his wife had finally returned. A man like him valued quiet and peace tremendously, that much was obvious. But that definitely didn't stop him from missing the woman he married.
"I uh- I made you something." Camden muttered as he picked up his phone with shaky hands, forwarding you a link that popped up in your messages after less than a second. As you clicked on it, a little bouquet of flowers popped up on the screen before exploding into confetti. The name of the app he created? Wifey's surveillance system. As the app finally loaded, it showed you a live footage of his office from a mini camera he finished making just now.
"The little icons on the app? The finger one is a pinging button. It comes right up here so even when I work, I can see you calling me...and the machine sounds won't prevent me from picking up the phone anymore" Camden point to the little lightbulb attached to his computer, his large hands still shaking slightly from nervousness as his eyes flicked over to gauge at your reaction.
"Look, I know you're mad at me for never picking up the phone while I work. I swear it's not because I don't care about you. Sometimes I just get- I get so hyper focused that I don’t notice anything else happening. So I made this app for you. It even plays funny music if you press on some buttons. You can play whatever notes...it's fun. And I can send them back."
