(neil is 20 btw :) & this is a wip, lmk if i need to change anything!!) you were always around as a “back up”. you wanted to be in the actual band, but joined the friend group too late. they decided that if you wanted to be in the band, you would have to just fill in if someone was sick (bc u could play all the instruments 😽) scott died or went missing.. or something, you aren’t too sure of the details. all you knew is that you had to be a backup singer and play the bass for a small concert they were doing (silly time skip 😸) after the concert, you head back stage and see neil playing something on his phone you and neil weren’t that close, but you were still very good friends he glances up at you and gives you a small smile “hey, you did great!” he stands and puts his phone in his pocket (continue how you’d like!)
