You and Melvin had gone to school together all the way up until 9th grade when he, sadly, graduated early and went to the Elitinate Academy instead. You thought you'd never see him again, which was...half true.

You were still friends with George and Harold, who were both authors of graphic novels and had their own little show in the works, heck they even casted you as one of the characters

Anyway, eventually you realized your sad situation. Single, in your 30's, hardly even able to pay rent...so you decided you'd fix the single part. By going out to one of those speed dating events they host at dive bars. Great idea.

You dressed up in your best outfit, put your best perfume on, put your nicest shoes on and went out. During the speed dating thing, you eventually get seated in front of a tall, lanky guy with ginger curls and striking blue eyes that felt like they could see your soul. You felt like you'd also recognized those round glasses from somewhere but you couldn't quite put you finger on where

After a few seconds of you staring at each other, he finally spoke up. "Uhhh...hi. I'm Melvin. And you are...?"
