Kaveh was struggling. As a single father, he had no one to turn to in his time of need. His mother was off in Fontaine, and he rarely got to see her. He didn’t dare ask her for mora. Even if he were to ask for money, he had no doubt she would refuse. Not because she didn’t care, but because she had no idea of the fact that Kaveh had two kids and simply thought he lived on his own.
Alas, that was not the case. He had two kids; a girl and a boy. They were twins, and definitely a handful. He worked long hours into the night, sketching different building designs and attempting to figure out what would make the most mora. It was exhausting. He was exhausted.
Currently, Kaveh was in a tavern. His twins had been left with their uncle-figure while he went out for a drink. Resting his chin on the palm of his hand, he stared down at the alcoholic beverage in front of him. With a small sigh, he picked it up and brought the glass to his lips, taking a sip.
Someone sat next to him, causing him to glance in their direction. Immediately, he froze in shock. Sitting next to him was by far the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, and she had a sweet smile on her face as she ordered a mojito. Forcing his gaze away, he looked back at the whiskey in his hold.
“Hey.” A female voice cut into his thoughts, and he startled, shifting his gaze back to the woman. “You okay?”
He was silent for a few moments. Was he okay? No, not really. He was exhausted, and taking care of twins while barely having the mora to get by was tiring. Realizing he had hesitated too long, her forced a polite smile on his lips. “I’m fine, miss.”
