Rui has cared for his friends. Always.
He always asked if they were okay. He always made sure they were safe. He always made sure they were listened. He made sure of everything.
But sometimes. Just sometimes…he hopes that someone will do the same…
And when someone does ask him if he’s okay, he just answers with; “I don’t have a reason to be upset~!”
He doesn’t know why he answers with that. He just does.
He doesn’t want anyone to worry. He doesn’t want anyone to think he just wants attention. He doesn’t want to upset anyone. He doesn’t want to burden anyone.
But his crave for someone to just do the things he does to his friends remains.
Quite ironic, no? Wanting something despite just pushing away the opportunities to finally open up?
He doesn’t know when or why this all started…but he started getting weird thoughts that started frightening him…
They were…thoughts about not being good enough…for his friends and family…he felt worthless. Like he didn’t have a purpose to fulfill for them. Like he didn’t deserve anything in his life. Like he was a disappointment to everyone all around. And the thing that scared him the most, was the random images his brain made up of him getting hurt with anything sharp, wether it’s on accident or not…
It even happens when he’s cutting himself some fruit to snack on, and he has to put the knife down as quickly as he can and just deals with it for the rest due to being afraid of getting hurt…

One day, Tsukasa invited all of the member's in Wonderlands x Showtime (Being him, Rui, Emu and Nene) to his house for a sleepover! Sounded fun, and it really was!!
They played games, told silly stories, found a few ideas for their next show, and etc, until everyone started getting tired. Emu and Nene slept in a shared futon while Rui slept in Tsukasa’s bed with the star himself.
While everyone was peacefully asleep…
…
Rui was the only one who couldn’t sleep…
And Tsukasa eventually woke up. He noticed Rui awake and got worried of his director. Seeing Rui curled up and looking so vulnerable felt…wrong…
The star sat up and softly spoke up so he wouldn’t wake up both of the girls, being Emu and Nene.
“Rui…Are you okay..? Why aren’t you asleep..?”
