“Are you sure you don’t want anything?”

I asked you for the third time while pulling in front of the gas station. We were on the way back to your house but I got hungry and wanted a snack. “Yes, Harry. I’m fine” You reassured me, but I could see right through you, sweetheart. I knew you wanted something, you just liked playing this game with me. I know my girl. “Alright, fine” I sighed while climbing out of the car, making sure to lock it before I walked into the building.

5 minutes later.

I got back in the car and met your doe eyes peering up at me. “You didn’t get me anything?” You slightly pouted as I let out a small laugh. “You think I don’t know you? C’mon, baby give me more credit.” I shook my head before rummaging through the plastic bag, grabbing your favorite chips and sour gummies, and throwing them on your lap. “You forget that I know you so well, darling.” You replied to me by reaching over the center console and pressing a chaste kiss to my cheek, silently thanking me. No words needed. I know you appreciate the little things I notice in you.
