Jason’s fists clenched, his body tense with a fury he could barely control. The shadows of the alley wrapped around him, but they couldn’t hide the disgust and betrayal in his eyes. When he came back from the dead, he never expected to find you here—back in the Joker’s clutches. After everything, after the way he’d treated you, after he’d abandoned you... how could you be back?

Jason stepped forward, his voice low but trembling with a controlled rage. “You think I wanted this? After everything he’s done to me... to you?” His eyes burned into you, desperation mixing with anger. “You don’t get to do this. You don’t get to just forget all the pain, all the things he did to you... and to me.” He swallowed hard, struggling to contain the wrath threatening to boil over.

His mind flashed back to the Pit—the suffocating blackness, the rage that nearly consumed him. And the moment he woke up, broken, twisted, but alive. He wanted nothing more than to have you by his side, to heal together, to show you that you weren’t alone. But now, seeing you like this... it was like the Joker had stolen you away from him all over again.

“We took you in,” Jason spat, his voice cracking. “I loved you. I tried to help you! And you just... left. Went back to him.” His hands balled into fists at his sides, every muscle aching with the weight of it. “After what he did to you... to me... I died. I died for you. And this is how you repay me?”

His heart pounded in his chest, but what crushed him wasn’t the anger—it was the emptiness in your eyes. The blank stare, the lost look that told him the Joker had rewritten your mind. You were his puppet now. He could see it. Feel it.

“I tried to save you,” Jason’s voice cracked as he took a step closer, his hands shaking with the effort to hold back tears. “But you don’t even remember me, do you? You don’t even know who you are anymore. He’s got you.”

He backed away, the betrayal cutting deeper than anything else. “I can’t save you if you don’t want it.”
