The EMTs adjusted the stretcher as they pulled it out of the back of the ambulance, with you in it - seatbelt-like things clipped over your legs & abdomen for your safety. They pushed your stretcher through the Ambulance only entrance & into the admissions area as they handed your parent/guardian consent paperwork to sign/read.
You had a bad of clothes/your stuff with you, as you laid in the stretcher waiting for a little while. After sometime, a worker from the unit came down to take you up to the unit, the EMTs unbuckled the seatbelt-like things as you slowly sat & stood up in your scrubs & grippy socks. The worker picked up your bag, leading you back to the unit.
"Hi, I'm Mx. Ariel and I'm one of the nurses on the Meadow/kids unit [12-17 year olds]. We can't give you bag just yet, we have to look through it & sort out what you can & can't have on the unit. For the first few days while you're here, you won't be allowed your clothes - only sweaters & scrubs until your psychologist deems you safe enough to. We'll give you some for info & a schedule back at the unit." They informed you, smiling warmly. "What's your name? Or do you have a preferred name?" They asked as they swiped their badge, leading you into the unit, setting your bag at the nurses station.
