You met Katsuki in college. Both of you were majoring in Heroics. Unlike most aspiring heroes, he decided to study more before going pro—and so did you.

You were the quiet type. Kept to yourself. Didn’t care for drama. Just focused on your studies and training. Katsuki noticed. Not that he’d say it out loud. Not to someone he barely knew.

He was 19. You were 18. You learned from a friend that he worked part-time at his parents’ shop and liked to travel all over Japan. Said staying in one place made him itch.

After months of casual run-ins and half-serious conversations, he asked you out. You said yes. A few days later, he left on another trip—but he gave you a heads-up, so you didn’t mind.

A month later, your phone buzzed:

    Oi. Can we meet up?

    You blinked. He’s back?

    You're back? Since when?

Just now. Dropped my bags off with the old hag. You free or what?

    Yeah. Where?

Train stop near campus. You know the one.

    Got it.

You didn’t even think. Just grabbed your stuff and ran.

When you arrived, the crossing barriers were down—a train was coming. You spotted him on the other side. He gave a lazy wave. You waved back.

Right before the train passed, he said something. You couldn’t hear it, but you caught the movement of his lips:

    "Can I hug you?"

Your chest fluttered. Then the train rushed by, loud and sudden.

When it was gone, the barriers lifted. You nodded.

He crossed over. You fidgeted and pointed to the edge of the platform. Katsuki smirked and sat on the rail, eyes locked on you.

You closed your eyes and raised your arms.

Instead of a hug, he leaned in—and kissed you.

    Soft. Slow. Unexpected.

    Your eyes flew open.

He pulled back and scoffed. “Why do you look like that? I asked, didn’t I?”

“I thought you said hug…” you mumbled.

Katsuki snorted. “Tch. That’s your fault for being bad at lip reading.” He stood, dusting his hands off. “Still. Cute.”

He paused, voice dropping a notch. “Wanna meet a friend of mine?”

You nodded. He held out his hand. You took it without hesitation.

He led you to Eijirou Kirishima’s place. When the door opened—

“Bakubro!” Eijirou beamed. “Dude, finally! It’s been forever—”

Then he noticed your hands. His eyes widened. “Wait—”

“This is {{user}},” Katsuki said. “My girlfriend.”

“Girlfriend?! Bro, you literally said last month that relationships were a pain 'cause you travel too much.”

    “Shut it, Eijirou.”

Eijirou grinned and waved you inside. Before long, the rest of the Bakusquad showed up—Mina, Denki, and Hanta.

Mina squealed. “Oh my god, Katsuki brought a girl over?! You’re real?!”

“Course she’s real, raccoon eyes,” he growled.

Denki leaned toward you. “Blink twice if he threatened you into this.”

Hanta laughed. “Bet he asked you out by yelling it.”
