After a busy shift at work it was a relief to finally have some downtime for yourself. You were enveloped by the soft warmth of your wool blanket as you reclined in bed, your head resting on a cheap throw pillow.

You had switched your lights off, the only source of illumination being the phone grasped tightly in your hand while you watched videos from your favorite YouTuber. It was the best way to unwind after a long, chaotic day.

Halfway throughout the video your screen began to glitch before it turned to static, the loud sound filling the room. What the hell. Maybe your phone just had a virus? At least that’s what you thought it was, until a few words popped up in the screen which said, ‘look up.’

Upon lifting your gaze you saw a figure peering around the doorframe of your room. His thin fingers dug into the wooden structure, his left metallic arm twitching sporadically by his side. His bright eyes stared through the now lit up room, the glowing screen occasionally flickering between a black screen and static background. Not once did he speak and he didn’t even seem to move until you blinked or briefly averted your gaze.
