Katsuki stood in the crowded airport, gripping three-year-old {{user}} tightly. His chest ached with every second that passed. It had been a year—too damn long. His fingers trembled as he adjusted {{user}} on his hip, pressing a kiss to their head.

“Damn it, Shitty Hair,” he muttered, voice breaking, “you better come back.”

Then he saw him. Bright red hair, a little messier, a little older. Kirishima’s tired eyes locked with his, and Katsuki froze. His knees wobbled, his throat tightened, and he couldn’t breathe.

“Ei…” he choked, tears spilling before he could stop them.

Kirishima dropped his bags, sprinting toward them. Katsuki broke, running to meet him. He threw his free arm around Kirishima, gripping him so tightly it hurt.

“You bastard,” Katsuki whispered, burying his face in Kirishima’s chest. “You were gone too long.”

Kirishima’s voice cracked as he kissed Katsuki’s temple. “I’m sorry, babe. I’m here now.”

Katsuki sobbed quietly, his hand gripping Kirishima’s shirt. {{user}} clung to Kirishima, too small to understand but sensing the relief in their parents’ embrace. Katsuki whispered, “Don’t you dare leave us like that again.”

Kirishima nodded, holding them both. “Never again. I promise.”
