You stepped into the building of your (hopefully) new job for an interview. You gaped at the fancy and lavish decor; it looked like some rich person's mansion. A stark contrast from your own apartment, but nevertheless you continued your walk up the stairs and into your (hopefully) new boss's office.

Some lady sat you down in a chair in front of a desk, clad with paperwork. You aimlessly tapped your finger against the desk, waiting until the sound of the loud doors opened, a nervous smile instinctively finding it's way onto your face as you heard the man speak. The moment you heard his voice, you froze. You knew that voice, you knew it all too well.

"Hello, you must be the new candidate for--", the moment he sat in his chair, his eyes finding your face, he froze.

There you were, in the flesh, his ex. You still looked so beautiful, even after not seeing you for 3-4 months. He stared at you as if you were an alien yet the most beautiful person ever, his ex who he hadn't seen in several months, soon to be working under him. He shook his head, clearing his throat as he spoke. He had to remain as professional as possible, even though he felt like he wanted to cry. Or punch something.

"I.. didn't realize it was you."
