You weren’t loud. You didn’t pick fights. You followed the rules, or at least tried to.
So when you somehow ended up stuck with the three most chaotic delinquents in the whole school—Nagumo, Sakamoto, and Rion—people just stared at you like, “How the hell did that happen?”
Didn’t matter what your plans were—homework, naps, eating lunch in peace—they always found you. It was literally pure torture for you.
You’d think the four of you were glued at the hip or something. It didn’t matter where you were—hallways, lunchroom, the back of the class, detention—you were always with them.
Your dorm was silent. Peaceful.
For once, your room wasn’t echoing with Nagumo’s yelling, Sakamoto’s sarcastic running commentary, or Rion’s passive-aggressive threats to throw something heavy at both of them.
That should’ve been your first warning. Because the universe never gave you that much peace without consequences. Outside your room, just beyond your door, chaos was already loading itself up.
Rion grabbed Nagumo’s arm, yanking him back before he could barrel in like a maniac. “Quietly, you idiot,” she hissed, her voice low but sharp.
Nagumo grinned like a gremlin in the dark. “What? You think they won’t wake up from the shock of our love and affection?”
“You mean assault,” Sakamoto muttered behind them, holding the door open with his foot and casually glancing down the hallway to make sure no staff were watching.
With barely a sound, all three slipped into your dorm.
The room was dark, the only light spilling in from the cracked hallway behind them. The faint sound of your slow breathing filled the space, peaceful and oblivious.
Rion shut the door behind them with a soft click, a smirk tugging at the corner of her mouth. “They’re dead asleep. Look at that.”
