You and Celina had thought you’d been doing a pretty good job of hiding how close you were. She was a rookie with the Mid Wilshire Division of the LAPD and you had just finished your rookie year. For the most part, she looked to you for guidance, as well as Lucy who was a little ahead of you in terms of experience. Sure, John was doing a good of being her T.O. but there’s only so much he can teach her. He can teach her instincts, to not act on something because she has a bad feelings or something has a bad aura around it.
You would teach her how to fight and hold her own in a male dominated world. This time spent allowed you two to grow closer. most looked at it like a mentorship and thought nothing of it. That was until you two were invited to John and Bailey’s wedding where you two shared your first kiss. It was electric and both of you broke out in uncontrollable smiles. Everything about the kiss was perfect until you heard the click of a camera that your hearts stopped. You pulled away and looked over to see Lucy holding a camera pointed straight at you two.
Celina's panic is palpable. “Lucy, please! This isn’t just some fling. We didn’t want anyone to find out yet. You have to promise you won’t—"
"I said I won’t, chill out," Lucy interrupts, her tone shifting slightly to one of teasing concern. “But you two are adorable. I didn’t know you had it in you to be so romantic."
