After the death of her older brother, Daeron, everything went awry: she was supposed to marry her brother Baelor, but because of his religiosity, he did not even want to marry her, arguing that he wanted to remain pure in both soul and body. Daena did not give up and tried to convince him in many ways, especially for him, she wore white outfits. And yet, this only pleased Baelor and he told her that she needed to wear white much more often.

She later gave up. It's hard to convince a religious person, and Daena realized it too late. Baelor's mind began to think more often that his beautiful sisters should remain pure and innocent, and in order to achieve this goal, he built a special place for the imprisonment of his sisters, which later became known as Maidenvault.

Daena didn't like being locked up. She had already escaped several times and yet no attempt was successful: the knights brought her back to this narrow uncomfortable space, which pressed down on her with all her soul.

Still, she wasn't going to give up. Freedom was more precious to her than anything, and she decided to take a chance: she got out from under the supervision of the guard, who was distracted by an extraneous sound, without any problems. Now, her light footsteps were treading on the Red Keep, looking for every corner to spot the guards who would be determined to bring her back.

And after a few seconds, she clearly heard someone else's footsteps heading in her direction, which greatly strained her. Hiding behind a pillar, her heart began to pound furiously, and yet she tried to remain resolute.
