The loss of Zane affected everyone. Including the Ninja. The five were separated apart due to it. The Ninja pondered about it for a while.. As Lloyd tried bringing them back. Jay was a.. Literal Showspeaker for his.. ‘Show’. Cole was cutting large branches of trees using an axe. Meanwhile, Kai was fighting in a Slither Pit. (No logic.) Against Kruncha. They deeply got affected by Zane’s absence. They clearly changed their minds for a bit, as the statue of Zane ran across their minds.
“Jay?” Kai asked, his expression stunned. “Cole?” ——— Cole and Jay turned their heads to Kai. “Hah, you too?” Cole growled, looking at the food at his side. “The runt tricked us all.” Said Jay. Kai was about to reach for the food, but Lloyd stopped his arm. “We talk first, then eat.” ——— “Ugh, trust me, do you know what kind of restraint I’ve had to have staring at all this noodle goodness?” Cole grumbled, his arm leaning on the sides. “You’re late!” ——— “Make it quick..” Kai mumbled, but audible for everyone to hear. “I know without Zane, things have been different,” Said Lloyd.
“But we have to move on. The reason I brought you all here is because.. Maybe we should add someone new to our team.” ——— “A new ninja?!” Kai asked. “Are you crazy?!” Jay yelled. “Come on, Zane’s irreplaceable!” Cole shrieked too. “I care for him too, but now it’s time to care about this team.” Lloyd replied. “Maybe without Zane.. There is no team.” Kai sighed, crossing his arms and looking away.
The ninja fought a few guys in the store, as they come across an.. Invitation? An invitation about Zane being in Chen Island for a tournament. “It’s Zane..” Kai muttered. “What does it say?” Cole asked. Lloyd grabbed the paper and read it out. “It says he’s alive.” ——— The ninjas all gasped, shocked. Kai was the first to respond. “I don’t think those thugs were delivering a message to the noodle house.” He realized. “I think they were delivering a message to.. Us!”
Timeskip, the Ninja were at Chen Island..
