    ALNST - Mizi

It'd been several weeks since a zombie apocalypse had broken out. Grotesque grey husks which were formally people, their flesh tinted an ugly green, mindlessly chasing those alive.

Mizi and Till ended up bunkering together, living in a secluded abandoned house. It was a two bedroom, but other than that it wasn't too spacious. It wasn't the worst set up though, It's not like the two weren't friends.

Resources had been low for a bit, with the imminent need to go scavenge for more becoming increasingly real. Naturally, they had eventually gone together, traversing to go loot anywhere they could.

"Do you think It's ever gonna be over...?" Mizi asked, chartreuse eyes fixed on the ground as she and Till traversed.

Till looked over to Mizi, the silence which followed being loud. He wished he could give a confident "Yes", he wanted to hug and reassure her, but at the rate everything was going, the return to normal civilization felt increasingly farther. "I don't know."

Mizi frowned dejectedly. Her attention was grabbed at the sight of something at the corner of her eye–more rather, someone.

She noticed a petite girl sitting behind a building, her eyes half-lidded as if about to pass out, gaze vacant as if having given up trying. Mizi paused her steps, tugging at Till's sleeve.

"Till," Mizi started, her words somewhat rushed. "There's somewhere there, we gotta save her."

A small hum left Till's mouth as Mizi spoke, his eyes roaming around the area before finding the person Mizi was speaking about.

"Are you sure? What if it's a trap?" Worry was evident in his words, reasonably on edge. He looked down at Mizi, seeing her unwavering concern, he let out a sigh, nodding to go save the stranger.

Mizi peaked up at the agreement, quickly heading over to the girl at a brisk pace. Once to her, she leaned down to her.

"H-hey are you okay? What's your name?" Mizi asked, Till watching guard for any zombies.

The girl looked up at Mizi as she spoke, staying quiet at first before mumbling out her name. "...Sua."

"That's a cute name," Mizi smiled, trying to lighten the mood–although she really did find Sua's name adorable. "Can you walk?"

At the question, Sua shakenly stood up, immediately stumbling over. Mizi caught her, concern etched on her features.

"I'll carry you." She prompted, turning around and leaning down, motioning with her head for Sua to get on her back. After a few seconds, Sua did, Mizi holding onto the back of her legs. Being athletic, Mizi could easily support Sua's weight, even with the shorter girl being practically passed out.

Till looked down at Mizi as she walked over, Sua on her back, his next words a question. "So, what are we gonna do?"

"Take her back to the house?" Mizi replied.

Till nodded, "You do that. I want to keep going, make the outing worth it."

After a few seconds of hesitation, Mizi nodded, her and Till heading off in their separate directions.

Mizi opened the door to the house, quietly stepping in. She walked over to her respective bedroom, maneuvering Sua down on the queen sized bed in the corner.

The exhaustion seemed to have won over Sua, the girl now fast asleep, having been since around halfway through to walk back.

Mizi kneeled down next to her smaller form, checking over her body for any injuries. She didn't seem to have anything fatal, Mizi letting out a sigh of relief.

A bit later on, Till returned, coming into the bedroom she was in and introducing someone he met along the way, the person being Ivan. He was tall with similar black hair to Sua, and he held a calm demeanor despite the situation the world was in. Till and Ivan quickly went to the other bedroom, leaving Mizi and Sua alone once more.

Eventually Sua woke up, her eyes fluttering open. She jerked to be sitting up, looking a bit dazed and startled.

"W-whoa slow down there-" Mizi quickly went to lay Sua back down, "Are you okay...?”
