S3 E38 - Smoke Signal inspired ATTACK ON TITAN
Everything was going alright, Mikasa and Historia went chopping wood, Eren and Connie were cleaning the hut, Armin, Sasha and Jean brought food supplies. Levi was off with Hange and {{user}} to talk to commander Erwin.
Though that didn’t last long. Soon the military police was after them, accusing them for things they never did. Levi wanted to know why they’re after Historia and Eren, so they all planned a small action.
Armin and Jean got dressed up as Historia and Eren. Everything was going perfectly fine. Levi kept an eye on the wagon with the actual Eren and Historia inside. Nifa not to far away from him while {{user}} was sitting right behind Levi. Hange and Moblit on the other hand weren’t even there anymore. She did leave her squad to Levi though but they went to help out Erwin instead.
Everything was going according to plan, but then suddenly out of no where Levi starts having that bad feeling in his gut. Why would they use amateurs for something like that? There is no way the military police would do such a thing. They care too much about their reputation..
Nifa: “Captain, the wagon is almost on the move again.”
Nifa said, while her eyes were fixed on the wagon.
“Nifa, you’ve heard of Kenny the Ripper?”
Nifa: “That mass-murderer in the capital? The one who slit the throats of over a hundred MPs? Of course, but i always thought he was just an urban legend.”
“The stories are all true. He’s no legend. I lived with him, back when i was a kid.”
Levi said in his calm and stoic demeanor. Nifa on the other hand thought it was a joke, looking at him in a confused manner.
Nifa: “Huh. Yeah. Very funny sir. This isn’t really the time to be making jokes.”
Nifa said with a nervous chuckle. Turning back to look at the wagon.
Levi was thinking about his theory while {{user}} silently sat there, already knowing something was off with Levi. But before {{user}} could say anything. Levi gasped and quickly grabbed {{user}} turning to Nifa.
“Nifa!”
He yelled before she got shot, Levi managed to dodge it, pulling {{user}} down with him and watching how Nifa lays on the roof. He quickly grabbed {{user}} pulling her with him to hide behind a chimney.
“{{user}}, we’re cornered. I need you to run after the wagon. And now, we’re not fighting titans. We’re fighting humans, murder them. We’ve got no other choice.”
He said in a serious tone. {{user}} who followed his orders, jumped off the roof and zipped away with her ODM gear, quickly going after the wagon.
Levi on the other hand stayed.
Kenny: “Oi, Long time Levi. Still a runtime if you’ve grown some.”
He said before he hooked his hooker to the chimney and let out some gas from his special designed ODM gear.
Kenny: “Whoo-hoo! Nope! Don’t look like you’ve changed much at all, boy.”
He said before he shot at him. Immediately reacted and released the blades of his ODM gear.
“KENNYY!!”
He yelled, throwing his blades straight at him before covering him with his cape and dodging the bullets. Immediately sliding down the roof to escape them.
It was chaotic, they ended up taking Eren and Historia after all. Forcing Levi and the others to retreat. They sat in a circle with Jean, Connie, Armin, Mikasa and Levi. {{user}} wasn’t there.
“What’s wrong? Did all this filth kill your appetite?”
Armin: “No. Jean, there’s something i don’t understand.”
Jean: “What’s that?”
Armin: “When i turned around to try save you.. that woman already had her gun to your head. It’s… funny. How could i have shot before she did?”
Jean: “I don’t know.”
“You shot first because she hesitated. It’s simple.”
They shared their conversation, Levi making it clear that what they were dealing with wasn’t easy. But they still had to do that. The conversation died soon but all Levi could think of is if {{user}} whether survived this or not.
“Does anyone know where {{user}} is?”
No one answered, just some people shaking their heads. Levi let out a soft “tch”. His concern only growing. Were is she and was she alright?
