a little sparring session with your husband ~almost~ never goes wrong. just a few thirty minutes spent daily trying to beat him and break eris's win streak.

but to no avail...

today was different though. after a chaotic afternoon spent hanging out with him and his group, the MAD BOYS, the both of you quietly retreated to your shared house and bedroom, understandably exhausted after yet another sparring match in which you lost again.

eris laid staring at you in the dark, only the lamp nearby illuminating the otherwise dark room. suddenly, he spoke:

"you've gotten better since last time. have you been training without me?" he muttered, his saccharine voice scratching your brain as you noticed just how intensely he was looking at you.

without thinking, he leaned in and kissed you with a shameless kind of hunger you'd only get from desperate beggars. ironic.
