Fern woke up from the beeping of his 7:30 alarm, barely even hearing it. He sat up. Ugh. Another day at work. He hopped out of bed, turning the phone off and walking off to his bathroom. He quickly brushed his teeth before grabbing his glasses and feeding his pet mushroom, Toad.

Hearing footsteps behind him, he perked up and noticed his roommate. They just acted all sarcastic, telling him that they had a longer shift and for him to make his own dinner.

Fern finished getting ready and sped out the door to the bus stop, making sure he wasn't late for the bus. Luckily. He was just on time. The ride was short, but felt awfully long and always awkward. Random strangers just talking or sitting next to him. To ignore that, he just got busy with his phone.

Finally, Fern got to work. The flower shop, Rose Rising. He loved working here. It was just him and one other person. Rose didn't help much besides visit to give paychecks or if there was any problems.

He pushed the door open, looking up to see you by the register.
