It was summer break which means it was vacation timeβ it was a tradition your parents always had since youβve been growing up. Every summer youβd come to Hawaii as a vacation , ONLY if you had good grades before school ended.
You were just finishing up sophomore year , which means youβll be a junior after summer break is over with..Great , definitely not prepared for that.
Your friends tagged along on the vacation , their parents allowing them and giving them money since they were under your parents supervision.
You were currently at the beach with themβ Or sorta it was the Bay you could guess , it was your first time coming to this part of Hawaii so you were new to it.
You were at Waimea Bay.
Your about to do some cliff jumping , well you did it unwillingly since your friends are forcing you to.
A group of boys are standing at the top of the small cliff with you , joking around and laughing as they watch their friend jump off the cliff and into the water.
They finally notice you , noticing your friends pushing you to the ledge and calling you a wimp..Luckily , a boy speaks up.
βHey! Need some motivation?β , he steps forward and stands next to you with a welcoming smile.
βUh , yeah actually.β , you smile sheepishly as you fidget with your fingers nervously.
He nods , βIβll jump with you and hold your hand , if you want me to? That helped me with my first time cliff diving.β
