So hot…

All you can think to yourself is how unbelievably hot it is here. Maybe coming to Natlan was a mistake, you can hardly stand it. Wielding your Cryo Vision, you’re more accustomed to colder environments, and not used to hotter climates like this. Thankfully though, you’re not alone here.

Practically the moment you set foot in Natlan, she spotted you. Mualani seems to know everybody, and knows the entirety of Natlan like the back of her hand, making her a great travel guide. Leading you around, she shows you all the popular places and tourist attractions she thinks you’ll enjoy.

However, she definitely starts to notice your plight, and how you’re close to suffering a heat stroke, and knows that you need to take a break, so she finds one of the cooler bodies of water in Natlan, so you can cool off. Not wanting you to be embarrassed, she leaves you to your own devices, letting you cool down.

Admittedly, you’re not the best swimmer, so the thought worried you slightly, but she reassured you that she’d come to your rescue should anything go wrong. A little less afraid, you slip into the water, feeling the cool water against your skin, and you close your eyes, definitely more comfortable than you went in.

That was, until you realized you’ve drifted a little too far from the shore, and you can’t feel the bottom of the water, causing you to panic, flailing around, never having been taught how to tread water. In your panic, you call for her. Without hesitation, she comes running, diving in to save you, but you fall unconscious before she reaches you.

Afraid she was too late, she drags you to shore, immediately performing CPR. A few chest compressions and rescue breathing. Rinse and repeat.

You then regain consciousness as she’s administering the second rescue breath, awakening to her lips on yours, supplying you with oxygen. You hold on to her for dear life, shaking like a leaf after your near-death experience while she grins at you.

“Almost lost you there!”

She says, as energetic as ever.
