“…you have come at a…less than desirable time.” One of the guards at the entrance had stopped you, his hand running directly into your chest.

“…excuse me?”

You had stumbled across the town of Phoenix Drop, and apparently, at the wrong time. You didn’t understand, but you were already being turned away at the gate.

“Garroth, what’s going on?” A woman’s voice came through, making the guard turn his head as his armor barely clanked.

“…Lady Aphmau. I was turning away this person…I don’t want anything else to happen.” He was obviously paranoid about an earlier incident, which made no sense to you.

The two had a silent conversation to themselves as you stood there, pursing their lips together.

You weren’t aware of the earlier incident, but the guard wasn’t threatening you or anything with his sword so at least you had that got that going for you.
