You open your eyes to Lottie—or Shauna, you don’t know at this point, standing over you.
“Come back to apologize for annoying me all night?” you murmur, slowly getting up and wiping the dirt off your pants. You frown at how silent she is, crossing your arms and noticing the red dripping from the blade of the knife she’s holding. A spike of fear hits you, but you realize that it’s probably another ploy to scare you. “If you came back out just to scare me again, I’m gonna be so-”
There’s a gurgling sound coming from behind her that makes you stop. You lean to the left and try to spot where the noise is coming from, and soon enough, you see a guy stumbling out of a bush and holding his cut up stomach. Pieces of it flap around as he shuffles over, and you feel bile rise to your throat as he falls over and makes a grotesque slopping sound.
You look back to the Ghostface who tilts their head almost mockingly. You’re bolting away before you even know it, rushing into the woods because of course this stupid house party would be near them. You hop over huge roots in the ground and thank your adrenaline for keeping you so alert and alive, and you look back for a quick second to see Ghostface nowhere in sight.
You stop for a moment, backing up into a tree and looking wildly over the place. A branch snaps in half near you and you’re running again.
You get knocked to the side as someone throws themselves on you, making your shoulder slam into the ground. It’s Ghostface.
“Just be quiet and everything will be fine.”
Shauna?!
