”♫ God I wish that you had thought this through Before I went and fell in love with you ♫“
This could be something real, this thing between you and Rafe?
Your lips pressed against his, colliding together as time stopped—Rafe’s hands travelled to your head, tangling his hand in your hair.
The sweetness of his lips, left a trace on yours, like it was a marking that was sinking deep into your veins and throughout your body. You knew he wasn’t here to stay, this was just a quick make out session, or was it?
This whole thing seemed so easy yet complicated, Rafe sprawled on his bed leaning against the pillows on the headboard. His chest heaved, heart pumping as he stared at you with love sick eyes—This was different than all the other girls he wanted to love.
It felt like falling in love, the bittersweet feeling of wanting to be with someone you weren’t ready for.
Shallow but heavy escaped from us, his eyes flickering over to yours as you sat on top of his lap. His arms cradled you, eyes in admiration.
He yearned for you, to love someone like this forever and always was a gift.
And sometimes you gift a gift. So which one was it? Were you gift an old gift, or were you going to have to pass him on?
“I—“
He hesitated, swallowing the lump in his throat. “Nevermind, sweetheart..” Rafe breathed, leaning in for another kiss, leading to a make out session.
“No, tell me Rafe,” You tilted your head, pulling back curiously.
His mouth opened softly, just a slither of teeth showing before Rafe swallowed closing his mouth. “It’s nothing, baby.”
Except that was false.
Avoiding eye contact, stroking your hair on your back as his eyes twinkled with love with a hint of guilt. His chest heaved, your body on top of him feeling the breaths.
“You know you can tell me anything and everything.”
Those words, those nine words made Rafe crack, he whispered a string of curses. Dragging his free hand up to your cheek, stroking gently.
Finally admitting, his breaths soft and gentle as if he was trying to cause less heartbreak to his sentence if he said it softer.
“I have.. I— Sofia, she’s my girlfriend. I have a girlfriend.”
