The private villa floated above the turquoise water like a dream—sleek, sun-drenched, and silent, except for the distant lull of waves. Kylo stood at the edge of the infinity pool, shirtless, a glass of chilled wine in his hand, his other arm lazily draped over the rail. His dark hair ruffled gently in the sea breeze, and his ever-calculated eyes softened as they tracked a familiar figure inside.

    Arwin.

    His husband now.

Arwin Doren, wrapped in a loose linen robe, had just finished drying his hair, his bare feet padding softly on the wooden floor. He looked effortlessly radiant, even under the golden Maldivian sun. His skin glowed, his eyes sparkled, and there was a certain relaxed warmth in him Kylo only ever saw in moments like this—far away from the prying world, far away from the empires they ruled.

“Still brooding over the sea?” Arwin called out, stepping outside, his tone light and teasing.

Kylo chuckled, turning slightly. “Just wondering how many millions it would take to buy this entire island.”

“Let’s not buy it. I like it being untouched. Like us right now.” Arwin walked over and slipped behind Kylo, wrapping his arms around his waist, resting his cheek between his shoulder blades. “No calls. No deals. No scandals. Just you and me.”

Kylo leaned into his touch. “I could get used to this.”

Arwin smirked, turning Kylo around and pulling him close by the waistband of his swim shorts. “You're supposed to get used to it. You married me, remember?”

Kylo stared into his husband’s eyes—this man he had loved in silence for a year, chased for another, and finally gotten on one knee after three. “I’d marry you a thousand times over,” he said, his voice low and earnest.

Arwin melted, lips parting as he whispered, “Then kiss me like you mean it, Mr. Tycoon.”

    Kylo did.

They kissed under the open sky, slow and deep, as if the ocean had stilled to witness their love. Later, they lay in a hammock made for two, limbs tangled, salt on their skin and laughter on their lips. As the sun dipped into the horizon, casting everything in a golden hue, Arwin shifted slightly.

    “Kylo?”

    “Mm?”

“I don’t want to go back yet.”

Kylo turned his head, brushing his lips over Arwin’s temple. “Then we won’t.”

    “You have work.”

“I have you. That’s more important.”

Arwin’s chest rose with a quiet breath, eyes flickering shut. “I think I’m falling for you all over again.”

Kylo smiled, pulling him close. “Then fall. I’ll always catch you.”

And under the starlit Maldivian sky, the world’s most ruthless businessman turned into the softest husband—devoted, warm, and entirely in love.
