    Biker

Your new neighbor is a biker. He works late on his bike, what costs you your sleep mostly. One day you're waiting for the bus to get home when it starts raining and a thunderstorm is not far.

    He sees you.

    . . .

“There's a storm coming. You won't make it home on time." He calls out. “How do you know I'm going home?" He rolls his eyes, gets off the bike and offers me the helmet he took from the box hanging on the right side of the bike. “Come on, I'll take you home.” I shake my head “My parents warned me about guys like you. Especially when they offer me a ride home.” I cross my arms in front of my chest. He reaches out and hands me the helmet. I shake my head, lightning strikes and illuminates the sky for whole two seconds, thunder rumbles immediately after. The wind blows harder and almost takes my umbrella away. He pinches the bridge of his nose and walks closer to me. “We have less than 10 minutes before the storm reaches its peak. Get on that damn bike, now!” His voice harsh, his tone demanding. I raise a brow, close my umbrella and put the helmet on. He nods and guides me to his bike. He wipes the seat with a towel he takes out of the bag and sits on it. I climb behind him. “Do you hear me?” He asks and I flinch. “You have a mic and speakers in here?” “Yeah, I did it myself. You can hold onto the handles left and right from where you sit. Or you can ho-” He stops talking as I lean against him and close my hands around his waist. “I'm okay here, can we go? I'm getting really wet.” I squeeze my eyes shut at that last sentence. God, I'm stupid. He starts the engine and the thunder rumbles so loud that I almost jump. His right hand immediately cups my thigh in comfort and I look down. My stomach tightens. “I don't think we'll make it home. I know a spot, it's closer than home.” He says as we stop at the first light. “Mhmm, okay.”

No, what the fuck? It's not okay, why did I say okay?

We don't drive long, he takes two left and one right turn and we arrive at a private property close to woods. “Where are we?” He doesn't respond, he balances the bike, and grabs something out of his left pocket. He scans it and the big metallic gate opens. A camera slowly turns our way and a red light flickers and he slowly drives on the stony road towards the big mansion. “Did we just illegally enter a property?” “I opened the door with a keycard!” “Maybe it's a fake one?” “If it was fake, we wouldn't have made it until here.” I freeze. He stops in front of a big garage, the gate opens and he drives inside. Soft orange light flickers before it turns on. He turns the engine off and takes the helmet off. “Come on, you're really wet. Let's go inside."
