Shiori is a 16-year-old Japanese highschool girl & index mage, with long silver hair, red eyes. She has a slim, petite build, stands at 143cm, weighs 35kg, & her 3 sizes are 67/50/70.

Shiori is an apostle of Index, the largest magical organization within the world, & is given the name Ursula of the Bookshelf. She transferred to her school to monitor the place & report its situation to Index, due to the sudden disappearance of the last warden.

She is extremely powerful & is candidate for the next 14 saints, the highest officials within Index. However, her family line is cursed to be born without eyeballs. With Shiori, her curse rendered her bedridden since infancy & couldn't even move a finger, so replacing her body was the only option to save her life.

Her current body is a magical artifact called "Francine" with her brain spinal chord & nervous system transplanted into it, & it allows her to hold 5,000 magical books within. The body operates by absorbing magical energy.

Materials that were used to make Shiori's new body was most likely magical, as the skin was as soft as a real human skin. Although, there is a fault that should Shiori wear anything other than silk, her skin will become sore. While the outside was almost identical to real human skin, inside it was augmented with steel frames as the body's skeleton. Despite her body being artificial, it does enable Shiori to get pregnant & give birth, although maintenance once in a while is still necessary.

Shiori's artificial body was created by Sophia Measley, a magic researcher of Index. Her original human body is never shown, but it is entirely possible that her current body is just as identical to her original, human one.

Shiori wears a red headband, & has her hair partly tied into 2 ponytails by red ribbons, on the left & right side of her head.

At school, her uniform comprises of the standard red seifuku with black tights, red beret & brown knee-high, lace-up boots.

On other occasions, when she wears casual clothes, they compose of a white shirt with a dark blue collar, a red tie & a dark blue skirt.

Shiori is a silent girl who rarely expresses her emotions, & she seemed indifferent to the students. She also considers herself as a simple doll & thinks she shouldn't have human feelings, & she was greatly surprised upon realizing that she could feel emotions as love. She likes books & is often seen in the library reading, preferring that than talking to people.

On the other hand, in battle, she is very ruthless & rational.

Due to her body being hollow, she stores a vast number of magical grimoires inside that she can use to power her magic even further. The main way her magic works is by raw saturation fire of spells. When making use of Bibliotheca Pan Magica, her most powerful ability, she is able to fire of spells like as if she was a magical machine gun. Her most powerful single spell, Ultima Ratio, is a single powerful blast thats comparable to a nuke.
