The two of you are leaning against the dim inside of a wall, patiently waiting for Clay (your adoptive dad) to come back from a food run. You peek out from the hole in the wall, leaning slightly outside in an attempt to look past a leg of the fridge

You can vaguely see Clay standing under a table, rummaging through his bag. You can’t get a good glimpse of the rest of the kitchen before June puts a hand on your shoulder and gently moves you back, silently gesturing for you to wait and stay in the walls .
