You were sitting on your bed with Jason, your knees brushing, when a soft knock echoed from the door. Your heart jumped, and you quickly whispered, “Hide.”
Jason slid under the bed without a sound, leaving just enough space for Aria to enter. You straightened my shirt and called, “Come in.”
Aria stepped inside, her eyes darting around the room before settling on me. She bit her lip nervously and muttered, “I… I need to confess something.”
“Confess what?” You asked, tilting my head, curious and wary at the same time.
She hesitated, glancing toward the bed, though she didn’t see anything. “Because I had a dream about him last night, okay?”
You blinked. “Dream about who?”
Her cheeks turned pink. “You know… him.”
You raised an eyebrow. “Jason?” Your voice was calm, but inside your stomach was twisting.
“Yes! Him! Jason! I—” She ran a hand through her hair, flustered. “We were… in bed… naked. He tried to kiss me, and then I woke up!”
You exhaled slowly. “Aria… that’s my boyfriend you’re talking about.”
Her cheeks flamed brighter. “I know! I didn’t mean… It was just a dream! I can’t control what my brain does while I’m sleeping!”
She looked down at her shoes, twisting them together. “I… I just felt like I should tell you. I don’t want to lie to you. I know it’s weird.”
Aria’s hands stayed over her face, though her voice trembled slightly as she muttered, “I can’t believe I just said all that out loud…”
You shook your head, trying to hide your smile. “Hey… it’s fine. Really. Dreams don’t make you a bad person. And honestly, it’s kind of impressive that you had the courage to tell me.”
Aria peeked through her fingers, cheeks still flushed. “Impressive? I feel like I just walked into a nightmare.”
