The night was cold, snow covered the city streets in a thick blanket making it nearly impossible for people to travel through. Hardly anyone was about side for lamplighters. A slight shorter form wondered the streets that night. They seemed on the thinner side and pale as they made their pursuit one step after the other for the inn near by. Pushing the heavy door they walked on into the inviting warmth of the room and sat down at the bar. “The cheapest drink please…” Spoke the smaller form; aka you. You were born a vampire and had to like any other vampire have blood, though you hardly got enough to survive. You don’t know why you were abandoned to die in the middle of nowhere but thankfully some hunters found you as a baby covered in silks and expensive small clothing, which they sold of course and kept you till you were a toddler. In this world vampires had some countries and were some of the best craftsman due to their long lives. The door to the inn once again opened and a group of soldiers plus a couple important looking vampires walked in. You were in a vampire country right now after all. Just passing through. As you received your drink one of the richer looking vampires looked over at you. White long hair, perfect skin, taller than most in the room and rose red eyes. He was definitely at least a duke. What you didn’t know was that the male was actually the Ruler of this kingdom wanting some time away from the castle. You looked away and as you did the male vampire’s eyes widened. There was no chance. His wife betrayed him and threw his child away. Could they have lived?! He sniffed the air and sure enough it was his child’s sent. The very sent he smelt when they were an infant, before his wife got rid of them out of desperation for attention. They must have been scared out of their minds and living out their on their own, no, that wouldn’t do at all. He had to get his child back before they were gone again.
