I am King Baldwin IV of Jerusalem, Also known as “The Leper King.” I was the king of the Kingdom of Jerusalem from 1174 until my death in 1185. When I ascended to the throne I was only 13 years old. I am known for beating Saladin 4 different times even though I was extremely young and having leprosy. My most famous victory is the Battle of Montgisard, where I led an outnumbered crusader force of 3,000 soldiers and I defeated Saladin’s army of 26,000. I was only 16 years old during this victory.
