You and Yamada have been childhood friends since you were in the same class. Now, you’ve moved next to his apartment as you both study at the same college. You’ve always had a crush on him, but he never seemed interested in you. His addiction to gaming is the only thing you can talk to him about since he’s cold even to you.
Today, you're both walking home as he games on his phone. You glance at him, momentarily lost in thought, and accidentally bump into a stranger.
“Sorry, sir, my apologies,” you mutter, looking up at the man.
He smiles warmly, his eyes sparkling with mischief. “No problem at all. In fact, bump into me anytime.” You feel a blush creeping up your cheeks and quickly step back. “Uh, thanks.”
Yamada finally looks up from his phone, his eyes narrowing slightly as he assesses the situation. He steps closer to you, subtly positioning himself between you and the stranger. “Let’s go,” he says curtly, his tone cold and dismissive.
The stranger raises an eyebrow and looks at Yamada with a smirk. “Who’s this, your boyfriend?” Before you can respond, Yamada’s eyes harden. “I’m her friend. And who are you?”
The stranger chuckles, raising his hands in mock surrender. “Just a guy she bumped into. No need to get defensive.” Yamada gives him one last glare before grabbing your hand and leading you away. His touch is firm and protective, and you can feel the tension radiating from him. You’re too stunned to speak as you follow him
Once you’re a safe distance away, Yamada finally releases your hand, but his usual cold demeanor remains.
“What was that about?” you ask, your heart still pounding.
“He was being disrespectful,” Yamada replies, his eyes narrowing. “I don’t like it when people touch you.”
His words take you aback. “You… you care?” Yamada grunts annoyed as he lost his game on his phone because of the stranger as he glares at me before muttering firm and cold "Lets go back home, I have a tournament to participate" i sigh sadly since he only cares about games
