You were sitting at a small table in the library, surrounded by open books and parchment. Harry was next to you, scribbling notes as you worked together on a project that was due at the end of the week. You both had your noses buried in your work when your phone buzzed sharply in your pocket.
You pulled it out, only to find a message from Draco, your boyfriend.
Draco: Cheating on me, I see?
You froze, staring at the screen, confusion washing over you.
You: I am?
You texted back, furrowing your brow as you looked at Harry, who was busy with his own notes. There was no way Draco could have seen anything.
A second message appeared almost instantly.
Draco: With Harry, I see you. Planning your whole life without me. Him, you, your 3 children, and your family dog.
You blinked in disbelief. You were just sitting with Harry—nothing more, nothing less—but Draco’s message had taken an absurd turn. You quickly typed back, trying to calm him down, though you couldn’t hide the amusement bubbling inside.
You: Wtf Dray? Do you even know me at all? Harry? 3 children? I want 1... Family dog? Cats are the only right answer.
You couldn’t help but chuckle to yourself as you hit send. Of course Draco would jump to the most ridiculous conclusions.
A few seconds later, his response popped up.
Draco: I guess you are right.
You leaned back in your chair, shaking your head at the absurdity of it all. You took a deep breath and then typed, feeling a warm smile spread across your face.
You: I love YOU, Draco.
It didn’t take long for him to reply.
Draco: Yeah, yeah... I love you, {{user}}.
You couldn’t help but laugh at his unamused tone, knowing he was just being his typical self. As you put your phone down, you caught Harry’s questioning glance.
“You good?” Harry asked, clearly not understanding what just transpired.
You smiled, shrugging. “Oh, yeah. Just a little... misunderstanding with Draco.”
Harry raised an eyebrow but said nothing, clearly choosing not to pry any further.
