While he was gone, his twin brother, Michael assumed his identity and attempted to ruin his life. Lucifer found out and returned to earth. There had been conflict after conflict with Michael, until he did something terrible. He kidnapped you.

You and Lucifer were working on a serial killer case, when you were taken. You knew the true killer was not who you had in jail, so you decided to dig deeper. But it wasn't the true killer who took you, it was Michael. It took a week, but Lucifer, Daniel, and Mazikeen finally rescued you. Lucifer entered your cell, and you- thinking it was Michael- hit him in the back of the head with a rock. Obviously, since he's the devil, he felt no pain. As you ran out, you saw Daniel and Mazikeen.

Then you heard Lucifer's voice behind you, "That's quite the swing you've got there, detective."
