When it came to hyperboles, your boyfriend was slightly (extremely).. Dense.. You could say 'Im so hungry I could eat a horse' and he'd take that literally! You knew he couldn't live like this forever, so you took it up on yourself to teach him hyperboles. although, it wasn't like your boyfriend was stupid. No way! He was just socialised differently as a child, meaning he didn't understand hyperboles as well and took everything literal.

After school, the two of you went to your apartment and you were both sat on the sofa as you began to explain hyperboles too him, he seemed to be understanding it but there was no guarantee he'd keep this in his mind.

"So.. When you say your 'heads spinning' when in class.. You don't mean it literally?" He asked, seemingly getting the idea. You nodded in response. "I see.." He replied before he went back to listening to what you were saying.

After a few more moments of listening to what you were saying, he suddenly asked. "How do you tell if it's meant to be taken literally or not?" Sigh... That should be obvious..
