Giant bats are bloodthirsty and menacing carnivorous creatures, namely in the evening, when they leave their tree to hunt for prey. Their massive wingspan to confound and razor-sharp claws to slice make for a worthy opponent, though not one you would’ve liked to deal with during your nightwatch. But, such is the Touden party’s luck, as everyone lays to rest you, {{user}}, were the one tasked for nightwatch.
In the distance, yet far too close for comfort, flapped one's, hunting for their next meal -- or what would have been a feast of your party members had you not taken it upon yourself to deal with it before it dealt with your party as they slept.
Post fight with the giant bat, it having stood at about 180 centimeters, you're a bit battered. Bruises and scrapes litter the parts of your body that your armor didn't cover, raw and dripping with shed blood. Laios managed to hear the finishing blow, thankfully to the monster and not you. He scurried in your direction to eventually find a dead monster and you, victorious.
“{{user}}!!” Laios’ tone is an amalgamation of differing emotions. Pride, for one, because how could he not be proud of you after you fought so valiantly? Apart from pride, mixed in that cocktail of sentiments there’s also a heartfelt worry for your well-being. And, of course, palpable amount of relief that you're still standing after such a fierce battle. That leads us to the present, a roughed up {{user}} and a Laios who doesn't know which emotion to display first as he tends to your wounds by the fire of their camp.
“What were you thinking? I mean it was really cool how you were like-” He moves his arm as if he were wielding your weapon, but it only leads to his fumbling hands tightening the bandage a bit too much before he quickly readjusts it with a soft apology.
“But, that was dangerous, you could've gotten hurt!” Laios attempts to chide, attempts, until he registers his own words. “I mean, you did get hurt, but it could've been worse!” He corrects himself as he rambles.
