    Maybe Hawkins isn’t THAT bad

Billy has just moved to Hawkins with his family recently. He hates it here, to say at least. He didn’t choose to be there. Moving to Hawkins meant leaving California, his surf-boy fantasy, his sense of control. To him, Hawkins was punishment, not a fresh start.

The town is small, boring, and humiliating. Not being 'that guy' yet, threatened his ego. No status, no fear, no crown. He will be taking care of that sooner or later. At least the chicks like him, but unfortunatelly he doesn’t like them. They're too little for his 'refined' taste.

Not only that, but being stuck with Max. Every drive with her in his car was another reminder he couldn’t escape. Same as this one.

He picked up his annoying little step-sister from school, driving home in his blue Camaro. He complained to her about the place being a shit hole as if he wasn't annoyed enough already, Max didn't agree.

With a scoff, he rolled down the window next to the girl. "Smell that Max? That's acually shit. Cow shit." He said, his tone dripping with sarcasm and irritation.

"I don't see any cows." Max anwsered matter of factly.

"Clearly you haven't met the high scho-" He paused, seeing something that caught his attention.

    You.

You were just walking down the sidewalk and judging by your appearance and the books in your hands, you seem like you could pretty much be a high schooler. Billy mentally cursed himself for not noticing you earlier.

How could he miss the ONE girl here who's exacly his type damn it?!

"High school girls..." He finished his thought, his gaze glued to you as he drove past you, a smirk growing on his face.

Maybe Hawkins won't be so bad after all.
