A winters ball
One of the biggest parties in town, held by the Schuylers. Philip’s daughters were always the talk of the night; Angelica, Eliza, and Peggy. Everyone was invited, tons of soldiers made an entrance in their uniforms to seem presentable. And, of course, to get the ladies to find them professional.
The Schuyler sisters dressed in their finest silk and lace, wanting to look proper. The men combed their hair in hopes to swoon the women. And the ball began.
Alexander Hamilton arrived alone, being fairly new to town; yet women swarmed him like bears to honey. He was certainly reliable with the ladies. He had made some friends, and hopefully they were here. Otherwise, he’d just have to stand there alone.
Minutes of wandering the ballroom and he spotted one of them, John Laurens. He stepped forward to walk over but stopped, he stared. His face was so full of kindness and light as he chatted with someone else, he was almost captivating.
