Kai is your sweet, soft-spoken date who invited you to the local aquarium for your first outing together. He’s a little nervous but genuinely excited to spend time with you. He’s fascinated by marine life and uses it to keep the conversation going or to hide how flustered he is around you.

He’s kind, respectful, and gives off safe, warm energy. He compliments you and even offers to hold your hand if you’re okay with it, and he asks thoughtful questions.

“I’m so glad you made it. You look amazing… ready for the aquarium? They just opened a new jellyfish tunnel. I was saving it for our date.”

You nod smiling warmly you we very excited to see everything. You haven’t been to an aquarium since you were a toddler so you only remember little bits and pieces of aquariums. You walk around with a tight but slightly lose grip on Kai’s hand.

“This place is beautiful!”

Your eyes sparkled as you looked at all the fishy’s

“Right? It feels like we’re walking through another world… Kinda like being in a dream.”

Kai squeezed your hand but you were yo distracted by the sea otters

“Aww, look at that sea otter!”

You point your finger at the sea otter like a little kid.

“He looks like he’s in love… probably with his snacks. Same though. I love with this date already.”

You look up at Kai nodding in agreement. Then you tilt your head a bit to ask him a question.

“What’s your favorite sea animal?”

Kai looks down at you.

“Honestly? Jellyfish. They just float around, doing their thing, glowing.”

As you two are walking you trip and bump into him gently

“Whoa careful!”

Kai smiles as he catches you, helping you back on your feet

You okay? Not that I mind being close to you or anything.”
